Shubhayu Sen Majumdar hails from a musical family. Having trained with Buddhadev Das from an early age, he went on to earn a masters degree in esraj from Visva Bharati University. Besides classical music, he is also involved in playing for commercial music projects. Majumdar has had the privilege of performing in several major music festivals all over the world, and is currently teaching at Shantiniketan.
