Bollywood film director Shyam Ramsay is the son of renowned producer F.U Ramsay and was active in Bollywood during the 1970s and the 1980s. Well-known for his association with the horror genre, he has been a part of popular films Aur Kaun? (1979), Sannata (1981), Purana Mandir (1984), Purani Haveli (1989), and Veerana (1988), among several others. He took a brief hiatus from films in the late 1980s and invested his time in channels like ZeeTV where he launched television`s first horror series, Zee Horror Show. He returned to films in the year Talashi (2000), Dhund: The Fog (2003), Ghutan (2007), Bachaao - Inside Bhoot Hai... (2010), and Nieghbours (2014).
