A National Film Award-winning producer, Shylaja Nag has bankrolled a number of critically acclaimed and commercially successful movies in Kannada cinema. The Prakash Raj starrers Naanu Nanna Kanasu (2010) and Puttakkana Highway (2011) are some of the award-winning movies she`s produced; the latter of which won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Kannada that year.

Other significant production credits include Sakkare (2013), the political thriller Devara Naadalli (2016) and the Darshan starrer Yajamana (2019).
