Winning a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Single-Camera Picture Editing for a Drama Series for the pilot of acclaimed HBO TV series, Boardwalk Empire in 2010, Sidney Wolinsky is a Canadian-American editor, who has edited more than fifty films and television series. He began his editorial career with the television movie Suddenly, Love in the year 1978. Wolinsky is perhaps best known for his work on the hit television crime-drama, The Sopranos (1999-2007). The series earned him three Emmy Award nominations and two American Cinema Editors (ACE) Eddie award nominations. Wolinsky made his big screen debut as an editor with the comedy, My Tutor (1983). Since then he has worked on movies like One Magic Christmas (1985), Howard: A New Breed of Hero (1986), Maid to Order (1987), Worth Winning (1989), Far from Home: The Adventures of Yellow Dog (1995), and Not Fade Away (2012). Wolinsky's television career is far more impressive with him editing episodes of shows like Miami Vice (1984-1990), Prey (1998), Rome (2005-2007), Swingtown (2008), Sons of Anarchy (2008-2014), Boardwalk Empire (2010-2014), Blue Bloods (2010- ), The Walking Dead (2010- ), Camelot (2011), House of Cards (2013- ), Extant (2014-2015), The Strain (2014-2017), Ray Donovan (2013- ), The Man in the High Castle (2015- ), and Power (2014- ).

In 2018 Wolinsky served as the editor on director Guillermo del Toro's adventure-fantasy romance-drama, The Shape of Water. The film went on to receive 13 nominations, including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Original Screenplay, Best Actress, Best Supporting Actor, and Best Supporting Actress at the 90th Academy Awards. In 2018 The Shape of Water released in India.
