After appearing on Doordarshan Kannada's popular sitcom Sihi Kahi, Geetha's performance won her immense popularity post which she started being addressed as Sihi Kahi Geetha. On the show, she was cast alongside Chandrashekhar, whom she eventually fell in love with and got married. She has been in the entertainment industry since the late 1980s and is primarily associated with the Kannada entertainment industry with movies like Actor (2016), Happy New Year (2017), Toss (2017), and Athruptha (2018) to her credit.
