Shiju is an Indian film and television actor who largely works in Malayalam and Telugu film industry. He made his Tamil debut with Mahaprabhu (1996) featuring Sarath Kumar, Sukanya, and Vineetha in the lead roles. The film was a hit and his performance as an antagonist gave the initial mileage to his career. The same year he did quite a few films in Malayalam like Ishtamaanu Nooru Vattam, Yuvathurki, and Kanjirappally Kariachan. However, none of the films worked in favor of him. In 1999, Shiju made his Telugu debut as a lead in the film titled Devi. The film tasted a stupendous success and he made a strong impact among the Telugu audience.

His next notable Telugu film was Nuvvu Naaku Nachav featuring Venkatesh and Arti Agarwal in the lead roles. It became one of the highest grossing movies of the year. He met with an unfortunate accident while shooting for Chiranjeevulu (2001). The incident caused a lot to his career as he was advised by the doctors for a complete rest. After recovering, he resumed work on the Malayalam small screen. The soap operas like Sooryaputhri in Asianet TV, Mandaram in Kairali TV, and Nandanam in Surya TV made him a household name in Kerala. Since then, he has become very active in Malayalam industry and later in the Telugu industry.

Some of his significant works are Anuragakottaram (1998), Dosth, Manasantha Nuvve, Ammayi Kosam (2001), Sound Thoma, Vishudhan, Proprietors: Kammath & Kammath, Nadodimannan, Pullipulikalum Aattinkuttiyum, Ezhu Sundara Rathrikal (2013), Polytechnic, Ring Master, Avatharam (2014), Sathamanam Bhavati, and Jai Lava Kusa (2017). His 2018 projects include Kirrak Party, Raju Gadu, Taxiwala, and Parichayam.
