Silvio Raffo is an Italian poet, writer and translator. He is known for translating several English novels to Italian, among which he is famously remembered for translating the works of Emily Dickinson. His 1996 novel Voice from the Stone was shortlisted for the Strega Prize in 1997. The novel was also made into a Hollywood movie starring Marton Csokas, Emilia Clarke and Caterina Murino. It was directed by Eric Howell.
