Simon McBurney is an English actor, writer, and director and the founder of Theatre de Complicite, a British theater company. McBurney has directed several plays such as Street of Crocodiles (1992), Mnemonic (1999), The Elephant Vanishes (2003), and The Master and Margarita (2011). He made is film acting debut with the movie Kafka (1999) and has went on to appear in movies such as The Reckoning (2003), The Last King of Scotland (2006), Body of Lies (2008), and The Theory of Everything (2014). His 2019 release includes The Mercy, directed by Jamesh Marsh.
