The multi-talented Sohail Khan is a director, producer, writer, and actor, who first debuted as a director with the 1997 action thriller Auzaar, starring Salman Khan, Shilpa Shetty, and Sanjay Kapoor. He then brought together both his brother Salman Khan and Arbaz Khan for his next project Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya?, which he also produced and wrote the story of. Making his acting debut, he featured in the 2002 romantic drama Maine Dil Tujhko Diya, which failed to wow the audience and critics alike. He was then seen in movies like Lakeer - Forbidden Lines, Krishna Cottage, Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya?, and Hello to name a few. He has directed and produced a number of movies that feature Salman in them such as Lucky: No Time for Love, Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya?, Partner, Main Aurr Mrs Khanna, Ready, and Jai Ho. In 2017, Sohail featured alongside Salman Khan in Kabir Khan`s war drama Tubelight, which is set against the background of the 1962 Sino-Indian War. His 2018 release includes LoveYatri, directed by Abhiraj Minawala. He then produced Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai (2021) starring his brother Salman Khan in the lead.

  • Sohail Khan was supposed to make his directorial debut in 1994 with the movie Ram, starring Salman Khan, Pooja Bhatt, and Sonali Bendre. However, after an argument between Sohail and the producer of the movie, Mansoor Siddiqui, the movie was shelved even though it was 40% completed.
  • Sohail Khan and actress Pooja Bhatt were dating each other roughly around 1994-1995, however, things did not work out for them and they split soon after.
  • After having directed Hello Brother, Sohail Khan was very confident that the movie would do well and registered the title 'Hello Daddy' as its sequel. However, upon its release, Hello Brother bombed and the idea of the sequel was shelved.
  • Akshay Kumar was the initial choice to play Salman Khan's brother in Tubelight. However, Kabir Khan decided against it and cast Sohail Khan since he thought that it would be easier for the real-life brothers to create that kind of camaraderie on screen.
