Sona Nair is a Malayalam film and television actor, who made her debut as a child artist in the movie T. P. Balagopalan M. A. (1986). She first rose to prominence through roles in telefilms and TV soaps like Jwaalayaai, Ente Manasaputhri and Devimahatmyam. Since the mid 2000`s, she has emerged as a popular character actress in numerous popular Malayalam movies like Naran (2005), Hello (2007), Passenger (2009) and Kerala Cafe (2009). The actress has also forayed into Bollywood through the movies Malamaal Weekly (2006), The Waiting Room (2010), Kamaal Dhamaal Malamaal (2012) and Rangrezz (2013). Her 2019 releases include Pathmavyuhathile Abhimanyu and Finals.
