Sibling of prolific artiste Indrani Sen, Srabani Sen is the successor to the gharana which has been instrumental in the spread of Rabindranath Tagore's music across the world. Her expertise with various renditions of Rabindra sangeet made her the recipient of B.F.J.A award for the best female playback singer for Amala Dhabala Paaley in Utsab (2000). She lent her beautiful voice to songs in films like Dekha (2001), Rajkahini (2014), Aalo Chhaya (2013) and Abar Byomkesh (2009) before she was associated with E Tumi Kemon Tumi (2018).
