A popular British thriller author, Stephen Leather is best known for writing TV shows such as London`s Burning, The Knock and Murder in Mind series, which was published on BBC. One of the top-selling Amazon authors on the Kindle, in 2011, he was rated the second bestselling British authors worldwide. Leather who started his writing career as a journalist, he worked for several renowned publications like Glasgow Herald, Daily Mirror, Daily Mail, The Times and South China Morning Post before eventually writing his maiden novel titled Pay Off. He wrote the novel whilst he was still working with The Daily Mirror. He subsequently wrote his other novels, The Fireman, Hungry Ghost and The Chinaman. His novel were well received by the audience and he soon came to be known as a writer whose books include themes of crime, military service and terrorism.
Following the success of his novels, Leather started writing screenplay for films and TV series`, he made his debut as a screenwriter with The Knock (2001), a TV series. His other notable writing credits include London`s Burning (1999), Murder in Mind (2001-03) and The Foreigner (2017), an action thriller film directed by Martin Campbell.
