British-born New Zealand cinematographer Stuart Dryburgh has served as the DOP in critically acclaimed films like The Piano (1993), Bridget Jones`s Diary (2001), The Painted Veil (2006) and Gifted (2017). Of these, his work in the drama film The Piano (1993) earned Dryburgh an Academy Award nomination.
Besides this, Dryburgh has also helmed the camera department in tv shows like Sex and the City (1998-`04) and Boardwalk Empire (2010-`14), the latter of which earned him a Primetime Emmy Award nomination in 2011. Other significant film credits in recent times include the drama Ben is Back (2018) and the sci-fi action comedy Men in Black: International (2019).
