Author, academic and screenwriter Subhendu Dasmunshi is an eminent artist known for his contributions to Bengali cinema and literature. Besides penning a book on the art history of Bengal, he has also served as the editor of the magazine Rabindra Rachanabali.

Notable among Dasmunshi`s film credits are Lal Paharer Katha (2007), the action mystery Guptodhoner Sandhane (2018) and its sequel Durgeshgorer Guptodhon (2019).
