Sudesh Bhosle is a noted playback singer and professional dubbing artist in Bollywood. His father, N. R. Bhosale was a well-known poster designer and his mother Sumantai Bhonsle was an Indian classical vocalist. While he was still in college, Sudesh honed his skills as a singer and mimicry artist by performing with a popular band, International Artist Melody Makers. He trained under Pandit Satyanarayan Misra and Kalyanji. In 1985, Asha Bhonsle introduced him to her husband, R. D. Burman, who signed Sudesh as a playback singer for the film, Zalzala (1988). Sudesh then went on to perform with some of the most prominent composers in the Hindi film industry like Laxmikant - Pyarelal, Kalyanji-Anandji, Bappi Lahiri and many more. Apart from singing, Sudesh has also dubbed for actors like Sanjeev Kumar and Anil Kapoor. Some of his works include playback singing for movies like Darr (1993), Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham (2001), Company (2002) and Ghatothkach (2008). He also produced and judged the show K For Kishore, between 2007-08.
