Sudhakar Reddy Yakkanti has work spanning across three film industries - Telugu cinema, Marathi cinema, and Bollywood. He has played many roles throughout his career, primarily that of a cinematographer and additionally as a director, screenwriter, editor and producer. He started out as an assistant director of photography for a few Telugu films, but it was his short film Ek Aakash which set his career. The film won him the Special Jury Award, a national film award, in addition to several international accolades. It was even featured at several film festivals. Over the years he became a familiar face in the film industry, garnering fame for movies like Deool (2011) and Sairat (2016), which became a hit across the country. He was the cinematographer for the 2018 Veere Di Wedding as well. His 2019 releases include Saand Ki Aankh, a film based on the sharpshooters Chandro, Prakashi Tomar and George Reddy.
