The Suhaas Ahuja Band was formed in June 2017 and features singer-songwriter Suhaas Ahuja on vocals & guitars, Abhigyan Arora on lead guitar, Anand Masrani on bass and Amit Mhatre on drums & percussion. Suhaas, an established actor, has been writing songs since the age of 15 and played with various bands through high school and college. Having worked in the past as a composer for films & ad jingles, the band marks a return to his rock music roots. Abhigyan has been playing guitar for 8 years, 4 of which were for the funk rock group Jack's Only Entertainment. He also plays bass for the alternative Hindi rock act CityHaze. Anand, a student of True School of Music, plays with the blues band Synchronous. He is also currently playing for Punk On Toast. Amit has been drumming since he was 9, and gained recognition by placing in the Top 5 Drummers on the show 'Kurkure Desi Beats Rock On with MTV' (Season 1). A prolific sessions drummer, he plays drums & percussion on a regular basis with the folk fusion act Indo Gypsies.
