An MBA degree holder in economics, Sujoy Prosad Chatterjee is a popular theatre artist and a TV and film personality who is noted for his work in the Bengali film industry. Sujoy who believes his first love is theatre, started his acting career as a theatre artist and he was initially mentored by an eminent theatre personality Sudipa Basu. He was part of several notable projects like Vagina Monologues.

He got his big break in the film industry when his performance in Bela Seshe was much appreciated by both critics and the audience alike. His other popular film credit includes Bidaay Byomkesh (2018), a Bengali drama thriller directed by Debaloy Bhattacharya. His 2019 release includes Shah Jahan Regency.
