Making her debut in the film world with the 2014 Telugu movie, Nenu... Naa Friends, Anjana Deshpande, who changed her screen name to Sukruta Deshpande, is an Indian actress, who has worked in the Telugu and Kannada film industries. Being from Karnataka, Sukruta didn't have to wait long to make her Sandalwood acting debut. She starred alongside Naga Shekar, Shubha Poonja, Soujanya DV, and Yathiraj Jaggesh in director Rakesh UR's romantic-comedy, Tharle Nan Maklu (2016). In 2018 Sukruta starred in debutant director MM Mutthu's romantic-drama, Preethiya Rayabhari. The movie is based on real life incidents. While Sukruta plays the female lead, Nakul Gowda plays the male lead. The cast also includes Charan Raj, Padmaja Rao, Sadhu Kokila, and Suchendra Prasad in important roles.
