Sukumar is an Indian director and screenwriter. He has primarily worked in the Telugu film industry. His directorial debut film, Arya (2004) was critically acclaimed and he won the Filmfare Award for the Best Director- Telugu. His other noteworthy work includes Jagadam (2007), Pagala Premi (2007), Kutty (2010) and 100% Love (2011). He directed the psychological thriller, 1: Nenokkadine which had one of the best openings for an Indian film, in the United States. His other notable films are I Am That Change (2014), Thiruttu VCD (2015) and Nannaku Prematho (2015). In 2017, he is associated with the romantic drama Darshakudu, directed by Hari Prasad Jakka.
