A former professor of economics at the Florida Atlantic University and multiple award-winning film director, Suman Ghosh is noted for his work mainly in Bengali cinema. Ghosh who completed his Ph.D in economics made his directorial debut with Podokkhep in 2006. His other notable film credits include Dwando (2009), Mi Amor (2017), The Argumentative Indian (2018) and Basu Paribar (2019).
