Screenwriter Suneesh Varanad started out on television, working on the popular sketch comedy show Prekshakare Avashyamund (2017) before eventually foraying into cinema. In 2018, he penned the screenplay for the comedy film Mohanlal, which was directed by Sajid Yahiya and starred Manju Warrier and Indrajith Sukumaran in the lead roles.
