About
With a BA in English Literature degree from Georgetown University, Sunhil has always had a keen interest in visual arts. While in school, he had already directed his first documentary at the age of 15. Wanting to pursue a career in the movies, Sunhil moved to Mumbai and went on to establish a production house, Mercury Films, in 1997, which provided content to Buena Vista Television India. Three years later, in 2000, he made his first feature film titled Snip!, which opened to mixed reviews. He then joined Highlight Films, one of India`s most reputed advertising agencies, as one of the directors on the panel, and eventually became a partner with the firm. He was a part of the agency for over 13 years, during which he worked on as many as 200 commercials for brands like Asian Paints, Blue Star Air-Conditioning, Lux, Horlicks, Clinic All Clear and Pepsi. Since 2014, Sunhil has been a part of Firecracker, a production company, as an in-house director. He returned to filmmaking in 2017 with the Sonakshi Sinha-starrer comedy drama Noor.
