Bollywood dialogue writer Sutapa Sikdar is a National School of Drama alumna, who met Indian actor Irrfan Khan at the acting school and has been married to him since 1995. While she was studying acting, Sutapa always had a keen interest in storytelling and screenplay writing. Making her Bollywood debut, she wrote the dialogues of the Manisha Koirala, Salman Khan, and Nana Patekar-starrer Khamoshi: The Musical. After her debut, she wrote the dialogues of movies such as Supari, Shabd, and Kahaani. Turning producer, Sutupa was associated with the 2016 movie Madaari, which featured Irrfan in the lead. The following year, in 2017, she produced the comedy romance Qarib Qarib Singlle, which marks Parvathy`s Bollywood debut.
