A National Film Award-winning director, Suveeran is known to make the first feature film in the Beary Language, which was titled Byari. The movie was his first directorial and he immediately won critical acclaim. A native of Azhiyur, Kozhikode, Suveeran after completing his course from the School of Drama, Calicut University, later went to the prestigious National School of Drama, however, he got expelled from there when he was in his final year.

Having started his career as a director in Malayalam amateur drama, he rose to fame with his play Agni and later he gained more fame and recognition Udambadokkolam. For his brilliant work in the theatre industry, he has won several awards including the Sangeetha Nataka Academy award, the Mahendra Excellence in Theatre Award and Drishya Kala Ratna.

Apart from theatre, Suveeran is equally passionate about films. His 2018 release includes Mazhayathu, a Malayalam family drama starring Aparna Gopinath, Nikesh Ram, and Manoj K. Jayan.
