Hailing from Kathua district in Jammu and Kashmir, Suzad Iqbal Khan is an Indian writer, director, and actor who primarily works in Hindi cinema. Having started his career as a crew in the camera and electrical department, he later worked as an assistant director to the acclaimed Indian director Ram Gopal Varma in Rakhta Charitra 2 (2010).
In 2015, Suzad made his debut as a writer and director with Monsoon (2015), a Hindi comedy-drama starring Shawal Ali, Pramod Goswami, and Raja Gulati. The movie also marked his debut as an actor. His other notable directorial ventures include My Father Iqbal (2016), and Madhubani (2018), which is based on the Madhubani paintings and Madhubani artists.
