Syed Badr Ul Hasan Khan was an Indian actor and classical dancer known popularly as Pappu Polyester. Bahadur belonged to the royal family of Awadh and was related to Nawab Wajid Ali Shah, who was the tenth Nawab of Awadh. Khan won a National Award for Best Supporting Actor in 1990 for acting in the television series The Sword of Tipu Sultan in which he played the role of the Maharaja of Mysore. He is also remembered for playing Mulla Do-piyaza in the 2008 Indian historical romance film Jodhaa Akbar starring Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. For his classical dance, he received an award from Birju Maharaj. Syed Badr Ul Hasan Khan died on 5th February 2019 in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, the place he originally hailed from.
