T. V. Chandran is an Indian film director, screenwriter, and actor, predominantly working in Malayalam cinema.Chandran was born on November 23, 1950 in Thalassery, Kerela.He acted the lead role in Backer`s highly acclaimed political drama Kabani Nadi Chuvannappol.Chandran made his directorial debut with the unreleased feature Krishnan Kutty in 1981.Chandran has won several film awards including six National Film Awards and ten Kerala State Film Awards. He is also a recipient of a number of awards at various International film festivals.Some of his famous works are Danny, Susanna,Hemavin Kathalargal. His 2019 release includes Pengalila.
