Making her debut, Tanya was seen in the 2016 Tamil movie Balle Vellaiyathevaa. While her debut movie failed to impress the audience and wow the audience, she was signed to play important roles in Brindhaavanam opposite Arulnithi, and Karuppan alongside Vijay Sethupathi, both the movies release in 2017. Her 2017 release also includes the movie Karuppan.
