Taylor Kitsch is a Canadian actor who is best known for portraying Gambit in the superhero film X-Men Origins: Wolverine (2009) and the titular character in the 2012 sci-fi action film John Carter. He started out as a model, and made his feature film debut in the 2006 romantic comedy John Tucker Must Die. Kitsch`s breakout role came in the same year, when he essayed a central role in the television series Friday Night Lights. Since then, the actor has appeared in acclaimed television shows like The Normal Heart and True Detective. Other significant feature film credits include the biographical drama The Bang Bang Club (2010), the biographical war thriller Lone Survivor (2013). His 2019 release includes 21 Bridges, directed by Brian Kirk.
