Best known for playing the role of real-life editor of the Rolling Stone magazine, Ben Fong-Torres in the Cameron Crowe-directed film, Almost Famous (2000), Terry Chan is a Canadian actor who has a Chinese lineage. Having completed his college from the University of Calgary, Chan started his acting career with a small role in the TV movie Aftershock: Earthquake in New York (1999). His maiden appearance in a feature film was Romeo Must Die (2000), an American action film directed by Andrzej Bartkowiak. Some of his other notable film credits include I, Robot (2004), Snakes on a Plane (2006), The A-Team (2010), and Birth of the Dragon, a fictional account of Bruce Lee. The movie directed by George Nolfi was screened at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2016 and released in the theaters in August 2017.
Apart from acting in films, Chan has worked extensively in the TV industry. Having made his debut on the small screen with The Sentinel (1999), Chan has worked on several popular series including the Emmy Award-winning science fiction miniseries Taken by the acclaimed film director Steven Spielberg. Some of his other notable TV appearances include The Evidence (2006), Psych (2010), Arrow (2013), House of Cards (2014), Van Helsing (2016) and The Expanse (2017).
