English actor and musician Thomas Brodie-Sangster started out as a child artist, appearing in television movies like Station Jim (2001) and Bobbie`s Girl (2002) before making his feature film debut with Love, Actually (2003). His performance in the romantic comedy earned Sangster nominations at the Young Artist Awards and Satellite Awards that year. Subsequently, Sangster proved his mettle as a versatile young actor courtesy of his performances in movies like Nanny McPhee (2005), Bright Star (2009), Nowhere Boy (2009) and Death of a Superhero (2011). Especially notable among these were the latter two, with Sangster essaying the role of Paul McCartney in the biographical drama Nowhere Boy (2009); and that of a terminally ill teenager battling his mortality through his drawings in the acclaimed drama film Death of a Superhero (2011).

Parallel to his film career, the actor also continued to appear in high-profile tv shows like Game of Thrones, Wolf Hall and Doctor Who. In 2014, Sangster essayed the role of Newt in the dystopian science fiction action thriller The Maze Runner, a role he has since reprised in Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials (2015) and Maze Runner: The Death Cure (2018). Other significant acting credits include Albatross (2011), The Baytown Outlaws (2012) and Star Wars: The Force Awakens (2015). and Maze Runner: The Death Cure (2018)
