Early Life
Born in Denver, Colorado, to Leslie, a clinical psychologist and Kent Miller, an attorney, T. J. Miller graduated from George Washington University, where he was a part of the sketch and improv comedy group GWU Recess. He has also studied at the British American Drama Academy in Oxford for one summer.

In 2014, Miller got engaged to his longtime girlfriend Kate Gorney and the couple tied the knot in September 2015.
Television Career
Miller made his small screen debut with single-camera comedy series Carpoolers in 2007. Post that, he appeared in shows like The Gorburger Show, Gravity Falls, and High School USA!. He gained further recognition with HBO`s sitcom Silicon Valley. The show follows the story of 6 young men who establish their company in the San Francisco Bay Are. The show received immense critical appreciation with T.J. Miller taking home Critics` Choice Television Award for Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series in 2015.
Movie Career
Miller broke into the American film industry with a small role in
Cloverfield (2008), which was followed by another forgettable part in the comedy movie The Goods: Live Hard, Sell Hard (2009). In 2010, he had as many as six releases.
