A seasoned performer with around three decades of experience, English actor Toby Stephens has essayed a wide range of roles in cinema, television and stage. He is an alumnus of the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art, and made his feature film debut with Orlando (1992). The actor rose to prominence internationally when he essayed the role of Bond villain Gustav Graves in the action spy movie Die Another Day (2002), and is the youngest actor till date to have played the chief antagonist in a James Bond flick.
Notable among Stephens' film credits are Twelfth Night (1996), the space drama Space Cowboys (2000), the Bollywood historical drama Mangal Pandey: The Rising (2005) and the biographical war drama 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi (2016). Besides these, he has also starred in tv shows like Jane Eyre (2006) and Lost in Space (2018), the former of which earned him a Satellite Award nomination for Best Actor in a Miniseries. In 2018, Stephens portrayed the role of Lt. Bill Beaman in the Hollywood action thriller Hunter Killer, which featured Gerard Butler and Gary Oldman in the central roles.
