Tom Hughes is an English actor, known for his roles as Prince Albert in the ITV drama Victoria. In 2009, he featured in the spin-off BBC series Casualty 1909, and in ITV`s Trinity. In 2010, he appeared in Ian Dury biopic Sex & Drugs and Rock & Roll and starred as rebellious Bruce Pearson in comedy-drama Cemetery Junction, by Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant. In the same year, he appeared in Sweet Nothings and was nominated for a BIFA Award for Most Promising Newcomer. In 2011, he was named one of the 42 BAFTA Brits to Watch. He also appeared in the BBC legal drama Silk and the BBC thriller Page Eight. In 2013, he starred in the BFI/BBC film, based on the award-winning novel, 8 Minutes Idle. In 2016, he began appearing as Prince Albert in the ITV historic drama series Victoria. In 2019, he starred in the film Red Joan alongside Judi Dench.
