Tom McCarthy is an American actor, writer, and film director. He has been all around the industry from movies to Broadway and even writing books. His Broadway debut was 2001`s Revival of Noises Off!. His directorial debut, The Station Agent (2003), was not only awarded the Waldo Salt Screenwriting Award at the 2003 Sundance Film Festival but also the BAFTA Award for Best Original Screenplay, Independent Spirit Award for Best First Screenplay and The Independent Spirit John Cassavetes Award. This served as a boon to Thomas as his career only became better here on out. He directed big movies like The Visitor (2008), Up (2009), Win Win (2011), Million Dollar Arm (2014) and Spotlight (2016). His 2018 releases include Christopher Robin and The Nutcracker and the Four Realms.
