Tracy Byrd was born on December 17, 1966 in Texas to parents Jerry Lynn and Brenda Vaughn Byrd. He discovered his music talent just at the right time while studying business at Texas State University. He joined a local band in Beaumont, Rimfire. Soon, in 1992, Tracy signed with MCA Records. His first self-titled album gave him one of his most successful songs Holdin' Heaven which even made up to the Number One Spot on Billboard Hot Country Singles and Tracks. His debut album was presented with the RIAA gold certification. His second album titled 'No ordinary Man' proved to be his career's highest selling album and eventually was presented with a double platinum certification. The song 'The Keeper of the Stars' won Song of the Year at the Country Music Association in the year 1995. He is also involved with a lot of charity work with the most impactful being the annual event he hosts, 'The Tracy Byrd Homecoming Weekend' which works as a platform to collect money for local charities. His latest work was the album All American Texan that released in 2016.
