Richard Treat Williams is an American actor, writer, and aviator who has appeared on film, stage and television in over 120 credits. He first became well known for his starring role in the 1979 musical film Hair, and later also starred in the films Prince of the City (1981), Once Upon a Time in America (1984), The Late Shift (1996), The Phantom (1996), Extreme Limits (2001), Miss Congeniality 2: Armed and Fabulous (2005), 127 Hours (2010), Barefoot (2014) and Run Hide Fight (2020). From 2002 to 2006, he played the lead of the television series Everwood and was nominated for two Screen Actors Guild Awards. He has additionally been nominated for three Golden Globe Awards, two Satellite Awards, and an Independent Spirit Award.
