The five-time Primetime Emmy Awards winner and four Tony Awards, Randolph Severn Trey Parker III is an American actor, animator, director, writer, singer, producer and songwriter who is best known for being one of the creators of the popular TV series South Park and co-writing the Award-winning musical The Book of Mormon (2011). After making his debut on the silver screen with Cannibal: The Musical (1993), Parker rose to fame with his appearance in the adult animated musical comedy South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut (1999), which was also directed, written and produced by him. The film won Parker several laurels including the New York Film Critics Cricle Award for Best Animated Film and nominations at the Annie Award for Best Writing in a Feature film and the Best Animated Feature film. His other most notable film credit includes Team America: World Police (2004), which won the Empire Award for Best Comedy and Despicable 3 (2017), the computer-animated 3D comedy film is the third installment in the Despicable Me in the series and is directed by Pierre Coffin and Kyle Balda.
Apart from his work in the film industry, Parker is also noted for his work in the TV industry, he has starred, directed and written several series’ including Best Friends Forever (2005), Make Love, Not Warcraft (2007), Imaginationland (2008), Raising the Bar (2013), all of which won the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Animated Program.
