Tuppence Middleton is an English actress who gained prominence around 2016, when she bagged two prominent roles in the TV shows `War and Peace` and `Dickensian`. She played a villainous Russian princess in the former and a quiet and contained young woman in the latter. As a child, Middleton was always fond of acting but never thought she`d be able to make it into a career. However, after an honours degree in acting and a few appearances in commercials, she made her debut in a British horror-comedy Tormented (2009). Now, she claims she would love to act even into her eighties.
Her TV career is quite extensive, including Bones (2008), Black Mirror (2013), and a lead role in Sense8 - a Netflix original series headed by The Matrix`s Wachowskis. When it comes to film, Middleton made an impressive start with small roles in films like Chatroom (2010), Cleanskin (2012) and the Oscar-nominated
Imitation Game (2015). Since then she has gotten bigger roles in bigger films. Her 2019 releases include
Downton Abbey and
The Current War.
