Ty Burrell is an American actor and comedian who is best known for his portrayal of Phil Dunphy in the popular sitcom Modern Family. He made his feature film debut with the 2001 sci-fi monster comedy film Evolution, and has since appeared in films like Black Hawk Down (2001), Fur (2006), National Treasure 2: Book of Secrets (2007), The Incredible Hulk (2008), Leaves of Grass (2009) and Rough Night (2017). Besides these, he has also appeared in voice roles in films like Mr. Peabody & Sherman (2014), Finding Dory (2016) and Storks (2016). Significant television credits also include Law & Order, The West Wing and Out of Practice. For his performance in Modern Family, Burrell has won 2 Primetime Emmy Awards, 5 Screen Actors Guild Awards and a Critics` Choice Television Award for Best Actor in a Comedy Series.
