Umesh Bist is a creative director and television software consultant in the Indian film industry. He started producing and directing short films and documentaries. He made a project in 2012 for the Colors TV Channel named Shaitan: A Criminal Mind. He worked for seven years as a creative/series director for the show Kyunki Jeena Issi Ka Naam Hai, which aired on Doordarshan. In 2012, Umesh was a creative consultant for the Hindi-TV reality show Apka Sapna Hamara Apna produced by Panasonic and was telecast on Zee TV. Later in 2013, Bist developed a Hindi-television serial called Zindagi.com sponsored by NFDC. In 2014, Umesh directed O Teri, a comedy film produced under Reel Life Productions, by Alvira and Atul Agnihoti. His other projects include Hero (2015) and Pagglait (2021).
