Upendra Rao is an Indian film actor, director, producer, screenwriter, lyricist and playback singer who predominantly works in Kannada cinema. He started off as a director for the film Tharle Nan Maga (1992), then went on to direct and star in films like Om, Upendra and Super. He is known for movies like A (1998), Kanyadanam (1998), H2O (2002), Kutumba (2003), Raktha Kanneeru (2003), Gokarna (2003), Auto Shankar (2005), Anatharu (2007), Super (2010), Godfather (2012), S/O Satyamurthy (2015), and Uppi 2 (2015).
