Uthpal V Nayanar is an Indian cinematographer and filmmaker who works primarily in Malayalam cinema. In a career spanning over two decades, he has helmed the camera department in over 40 films, notable among which are movies like Manikya Chempazhukka (1995), Minnaaminunginum Minnukettu (1995), Kalyanappittennu (1997), Pranaya Nilavu (1999) and Sooryan (2007). In 2017, Utpal made his directorial debut with Nilavariyathe, which starred Anumol and Bala in lead roles.
