Director, producer, and writer Utpal Modi started his career by producing and directing the 2004 Gujarati drama Raaj Mata and has since then been associated with Dukhda Haro Maa Dasha Maa (2005), Maher Karo Maa Meladi (2006), and Chotile Bethie Maa Chamunda (2007), all of which he also wrote. The director and producer is best known for his 2015 romantic comedy-drama Chaki Kahe Chaka Jo Baka, featuring Khyati Madhu and Mukesh Rao, and the 2016 romantic drama Love You Baka. In 2018, he was associated with the drama Maa, which features Khyati Madhu and Pooja Soni in pivotal roles.
