An Indian film editor, V.V. Karnik is noted for his work in Bollywood cinema. Having started his career in the film industry as a crew member in the editorial department, his maiden film was Bombai Ka Babu (1960) where he worked in the film processing department. He subsequently worked as an assistant editor in super hit films like Chandni (1989), Darr (1993) and Yeh Dillagi (1994). His maiden venture as the lead editor was Dil To Pagal Hai (1997). He later worked in films like Mohabbatein (2000), Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai (2002), and Mujhse Dosti Karoge! (2002).
