Vaibhav is the disciple of Guru Shri Kumaresh of GaneshKumaresh fame. His first violin solo concert at the age of 15 years at the Bangalore Gayana Samaja auditorium was very well received with a standing ovation. He has had the great honour of performing along with his Guru on several occasions in Thanjavur, Chennai, Kanchipuram and Bangalore. He has also performed solo concerts in Bangalore, Chennai, Hubli, Hyderabad, Coimbatore, Hariharapura and Sringeri. He has accompanied several artistes including Dr. Vijay Gopal (flute). He had the great honour of accompanying Vidwan Abhishek Raghuram at the Kanchi Kamakoti Peetham in Bangalore. He was given the award Promising Young Talent for his solo concert in Hyderabad by Karthikeya Gana Sabha. He performed a solo concert at the Rama Seva Mandali at Fort High School Grounds for the Ramanavami Festival in Bangalore on April 11th, 2014. He was awarded a Prathibhakaankshi Award for this performance. He was featured as one of the young violin solo artistes of the Jackfruit festival conducted by Bhoomija Trust in Bangalore on June 7th, 2014, He subsequently played a Jugalbandhi with Suleiman (Hindustani Bansuri) as part of the 2015 edition of the same festival. He won the First Prize in the Senior Instrumental Category in the annual Music Competition conducted by Gayana Samaja in Oct 2014. He was the violinist for Children's Carnatic Choir 2014 directed by Vidwan Abhishek Raghuram and received favourable reviews for his performance. He has performed as part of the Indian National Orchestra (INO) led by
Dr. Jayanthi Kumaresh both in Coimbatore and at Chennai (Music Academy). The orchestra included many senior artistes, both Carnatic and Hindustani. He performed a three-hour solo concert at Pranava Fine Arts, Bangalore in August 2015. He was invited by the Indian High Commission of Uganda to perform in the Tyagaraja Aradhana festival held in Feb 2016. He was one of the solo artistes featured in Violin Vaibhavam 2016, organised in Bangalore by the Lalgudi Trust and received favourable reviews from the media for his performance. He participated in the prestigious international youth festival, Kalavanta 2016 held in Seva Sadan, Bangalore. He was awarded the First Prize in the National level Sangeeth Samraat Carnatic Premier League Competition in the Youth Instrumental Junior Category on July 15th 2016 at Narada Gana Sabha.
