Vandana Srinivasan is a celebrated playback singer, live performer, and independent artist, known for her deeply emotive renditions. Over the past decade, she has lent her voice to over 100 film and independent songs by acclaimed composers such as A. R. Rahman, Ilaiyaraaja, G. V. Prakash, and D. Imman, with her songs featured in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam films.
Beyond playback singing, Vandana is recognized for her ability to seamlessly move between genres, excelling in ghazals, Sufi, semi-classical, devotional, retro, and contemporary Indian music. Her performances are known for creating intimate spaces where music becomes a conversation, carrying audiences into a timeless, soulful journey. Born and raised in Doha, Vandanas culturally rich childhood nurtured her diverse musical interests, including training in Carnatic and Hindustani classical music. She currently trains in Hindustani music under Guruji Shri Koushik Aithal.
Vandana leads The Madras Mehfil Collective, a handpicked ensemble of musicians dedicated to reviving the charm of baithaks and intimate mehfils. Their debut multi-city tour, ``Rooba: Face to Face with the Soul of Music,`` brings together music, storytelling, and cultural memory in an evocative evening that transcends genres and generations.
