Venkateswara Rao Parchuri is primarily a writer who works in the Telugu film industry. He along with his brother Gopala Krishna (together known as The Parchuri Brothers) began working in the industry in the early 80s. The duo has written dialogues and story for movies such as Maqsad (1984), Dilwaala (1986), State Rowdy (1989), Stoovertpooram Police Station (1991), and Raja Kumaraud (1999). The brothers together have also directed a few movies such as Maa Telugu Talli (1988), Repati Swarajyam (1987), and Bhale Tammudu (1985).
Venkateswara Rao has independently worked on several Telugu movies such as Roshagadu (1983), Veta (1986), Kondapalli Raja (1993), Pokiri Raja (1995), Tagore (2003), Baladoor (2008), and Rudramadevi (2015). Besides being a writer, he has also appeared as an actor in movies such as Dynamite (2015), Drushyam (2014), Ra Cha (2012), and Bindaas (2010). In 2017, he appeared as an actor in the movie Andhhagadu directed by Veligonda Srinivas. His 2018 release includes Parichayam.
