A writer by profession, Ravindra Venshi has made a mark as a film critic too. He watched 2,600 Kannada films to compile a Magnum opus book, `101 Kannada Films to Watch Before You Die.` As a writer, he has made a mark with books including Classu Massu Beda Gelaya Nantige Hesaru, Kesha Kattarisikolluva Pari and others. The BSc, BEd graduate debuted as a director with Putani Safari. Vasanthi Nalidaga is his fourth film.
